Fuel Cells for Home and Business Power Generation
Although there has been much talk about using fuel cells for powering automobiles and other vehicles, there is great potential for using them for home and business electric power generation. The California Company, Bloom Energy, has created a dumpster-sized device that can generate 100,000 kilowatts of power. The Bloom Box cost of power can be only eight to ten cents per kilowatt-hour. The device costs about $700,000 but in the future there my be a home version for $3000.
